This project corresponds to the real motivation to find tools to work effectively with the selected target groups: adults with disabilities, Ukrainian refugees, inmates, adults with different dependencies and adult women.

To apply this methodology, we first selected and defined a total of eight values/skills/competences, highlighting their importance. Second, we have selected a total of 49 stories that best align with the eight selected values, skills, and competences. Finally, we must rewrite the selected stories to enhance the values, skills, and competences we aim to target. The project offers a model for rewritten stories, but each classroom is unique, and each educator must rewrite these stories as they see fit to best benefit their students.

The link below will take you directly to the first result which is the methodology used and the definition of the different values/skills/competences.

We have created e-books working on each value, that we have chosen along with selected stories that help reflect and discuss the themes of the values. These values are based on promoting of democratic participation, inclusion, equal rights, equal opportunities and active participation.

The creation of these e-books is important for implementing and improving the storytelling method in adult education and adult training, as well as for the innovative and functional adaptation of storytelling in the professional practices already carried out by adult educators. The e-books feature the selected values and stories, that can be aimed at all the groups covered by the project: adults with disabilities, adults with disabilities, Ukrainians refugees, inmates, addicts and adult women. The e-books will also be valuable for the educators involved in working with adults from highly marginalized contexts. By promoting values such as active citizenship, resilience, creativity, democracy, equality, problem solving, self-confidence, social inclusion in the e-books, we help stimulate interpersonal dialogue and the cognitive abilities of readers through their engagement with the stories and values.

The approach and the tool of the storytelling will contribute to the development and strengthening of transversal skills in readers by promoting reflection on their own paths and supporting a process of empowerment.

The links below show the results of the second part of the methodology, the selection of stories for each value/skill/competence.

For each value, global stories have been selected to work with through storytelling.

As an example, we offer these rewritten stories. With this compilation we want to promote the values we have been working on in this project
Each educator or person interested in this material should rewrite their own stories, since as said at the beginning, these are only examples of rewritten stories. Many different stories can be created from the same story.
All partners who are part of the Stories4Empowerment team hope that this manual will serve as a guide for you to rewrite your own stories. We wish you the best of luck!
